All of the floors upstairs are now finished, you can really get a sense of the scale of the master bedroom and en-suite now. The views from the spa bath are going to be fantastic.

The terracotta tiles on the ground and lower ground floors are now all laid, and we’ve just started putting tiles down in the bathrooms. The upstairs rooms have really interesting ceramic tiles with a wood-effect finish – they look spectacular but won’t scratch or creak and will conduct heat away[…]
The under-floor heating and cooling is all in now. The ground floor has had the screed laid down and they’re starting to lay the terracotta tiles on top. Once the floor’s in, it will start to feel like a home again.
The pipes have gone in for the under-floor heating, conductive blocks will be laid on top of this with screed then the terracotta tiles. It’s a very clever system that will be energy efficient as it’s all based on heating or cooling water. Eventually I hope that it can all[…]
The ground floor apartment is really starting to take shape. The plasterwork over the walls and ceilings has been done, and the stud work is nearly there too. We’re leaving some of the stone walls and brick tile ceilings exposed. It’s amazing to think this was animal housing five months[…]
The new window sills are being fitted, the local stone is lovely and really compliments the older stonework that it’s sitting against. Plumbing work has started, with fittings in place ready for the air conditioning, and hot and cold water supplies and under-floor heating and cooling pipes are being laid[…]
