It’s a bit colder in January but there’s still beautiful misty views across to the lake. It’s not been possible to do very much work over the winter, but the landscapers have removed part of the earthen bank to the right of the property (as you look from the lower field) which has revealed some interesting caves that I’ll take a look into when the weather improves.
Lots of time spent discussing options with the architect and builders. It looks like the brickwork around the windows will need an awful lot of work which is quite a daunting prospect. The beautiful wooden-beamed ceilings look amazing in the sharp winter light. We’re planning to keep these visible as much as possible in the finished villa.
